Piazzale Michelangelo

The group all met at the Duomo to walk to see the sunset at one of our professors favorite spots, Piazzale Michelangelo. Holy steps. So many steps. But once we got to the top, it was so worth it, it was breathtaking. You could see all across Florence. Denby and I got Breezers (Rum & Juice), they are my favorite. I wish they were sold in the US. We walked all around the top and then sat together on the ledge to watch the sun go down. The places that John and David plan for us to go to are just incredible. I’m so thankful I’ve had them to plan this trip.

On our walk home, we walked past the sinkhole, which is less than 5 minutes from our place, which is why we were among the last people to get water back. Over 20 cars fell into it and damaged one of the most historical parts of Florence, it was on NY Times and everything, it was a pretty big deal.
